Under the supervision of my rescue and foster cats I work at home and combine a degree in English, skills in art and photography, natural curiosity and a love of animals and nature to create logos, brochures, websites, illustrations, portraits and paintings of the things we love and the world around us for a variety of small business and non-profit customers.
I indulge myself in fine art, painting hundreds of commissioned portraits of cats, dogs and their people along with local landscapes, still lifes and street scenes.
I have published short stories and poetry and publish The Creative Cat, a daily website featuring articles and stories on feline and pet health, welfare, adoption, pet loss and rescue plus humor, poetry, photography and fine art.
I’m an award-winning member of the Cat Writers’ Association, and locally the Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators as well as many local art leagues and organizations.
For fun I practice TNR to safely rescue cats and determine and obtain the services they need, and do my best to outwit the deer, groundhogs and rabbits to maintain my sustainable organic garden and certified Backyard Wildlife Habitat.
